2012 POINT STANDINGS INFORMATION PAGE

- Players earn points for their tournament finish, as well as for any sub-par rounds within a tournament as shown below:

Finish              Points      Finish              Points      Finish              Points

Sub-Par Rounds
100 points are awarded for each stroke under par (Example: 3 Under Par = 300 Points).
A round is defined as being 18 holes for the 18 hole/day division, and 9 holes for the 9 hole/day division.

Majors
Points for Tournament Finish will be doubled if earned at a Major, including sub-par round points.

Ties
Points are awarded for tournament finish. If three players each tie for first place in score, they would each earn the points awarded a first place finish. The play-off system is used to determine
who has earned the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies.

Age Divisions
Players are required to move to the appropriate division on their birthday and will take their points with them into the new division.  They may elect to "leave their points behind" in the prior age
division as indicated in the next section. Please read that for further information. Conversely, a player may always ask for special permission to "move up" a division at any time during the year for
any reason, including wanting to be eligible for Player-Of-The-Year in a higher division. Please read the next section for further information.

Eligibility for Player-Of-The-Year -
- A player must play in at least 5 tournaments from a division to win that division's "Player-Of-The-Year" Award
if they have moved into a new division during that year.
- If a player is interested in competing for Player-Of-The-Year, and their birthday is such that there will be
less than five tournaments remaining on the current year's schedule in which to earn
points, the player has two choices and needs to indicate to Premier via email their preference:
1) the player may move up into the new age division, leaving the points earned in the old division behind, and any points accrued in the new division remain in the new division for the balance of
the points year.  The chance to earn more points in the old division end when they decide to move up a division. They may play in the new age division for the balance of the points year, and earn
Player Of The Year in the old division with points they earned there in the old division.
Or...
2) the player may elect to remain in the lower age division for the balance of the current points year and continue to earn points there.  To re-emphasize, the player may only choose to stay in the
lower age division if their birthday is such that there are
less than five tournaments remaining on the current year's statewide schedule and they are vying for end of year awards, including Player
Of The Year. Remember that a player may always move up
earlier in the year for any reason, as long as they have requested that via email from Premier Junior Tour.

(Example: "Sam" is now 8.  He will turn 9 on November 20, 2008. Since there is only one tournament left in 2008, Sam can stay in the Boys 7-8 Division for the last point-earning event in 2008,
which is Southern Hills Plantation, and he will earn points for the event toward Player-Of-The-Year and other point-associated awards. At the 2008 Tour Championship in December of 2008,
however, Sam must now play in the Boys 9-10 Division, as the Tour Championship is the first event in which to earn points for 2009.)

Points Accumulation Dates
2012 Points Will Accrue from December 11, 2011 (2011 Tour Championship) through and including the last regular event of the 2012 season.

Year-End Points Rewards and Recognition
Points earned in 2012 will accrue for rewards and recognition throughout the year. First and foremost, the points leader in each division will be awarded Player Of the Year at our year-end Tour
Championship.

In the extremely rare event that two (or more) players are tied in Player-of-the-Year points at the end of the 2012 season, the players' first round score at the Tour Championship will serve as the
tie breaker. If they both shoot the same number, an on-course sudden death playoff would ensue.

If one of the competitors that is tied in the points lead does not play in the Tour Championship, regardless of circumstances, they automatically forefit the Player of the Year trophy to the other
competitor. You must be present at the Tour Championship to win Player of The Year in this situation!
