Belleair, FL - Great golfing weather, an excellent course in great condition, and great scores were the headlines of the weekend March 19-20th as Premier Junior Tour visited the Belleair Country
Club West Course for the 2011 Belleair Country Club Spring Kickoff. The event marked Premier's 7th event of the 2011 season. Four countries and three states were represented in the playing
field at Belleair. Both Saturday and Sunday brought forth plentiful sunshine and challenging winds. Breezes stayed between 10 and 20mph throughout the weekend, although with several holes
on the front nine being affected by the nearby Clearwater Bay, breezes gusted upwards of 20mph and gave the players quite a challenge. Players were commenting all weekend on the excellent
condition of the course, which provided for an even more enjoyable and scoreable weekend.

Men 16-19
Low scoring and under par rounds were needed to compete in the Men 16-19 Division over the weekend at Belleair. Round 1 saw 19 out of 23 players under 80, four of which were either under
par or at par after day one. First time Premier competitor
Luke Bardwell of Winter Haven, FL wasted no time acclimating himself with the top of the leaderboard after he opened with a two under
par round of
69. Dustin Dingus of Palm Harbor, FL was just one behind Bardwell, at one under par 70. Tied for third place after posting opening rounds of even par 71's were Anthony Maccaglia of
Tampa, FL and
Jake Kevorkian of Clearwater, FL.
Bardwell fell out of contention on Sunday, however, struggling to a round of 80, giving him a 149 total and fifth place. This left the door open, and Maccaglia jumped through it. Maccaglia posted the
tournament low score on Sunday, a three under par
68. Dingus played solidly as well in Round 2, his even par round of 71 gave him a one under par total of 141, good for second place honors.
Kevorkian's Sunday 73 gave him a 144 total and third place. Maccaglia's three under par total of
138 earned him 1500 points, securing his spot on top of the 2011 Points List for the Men 16-19
Division. Maccaglia leads Dingus on the list by 1100 points. Kevorkian earned 800 points for his third place finish.

Men 13-15
In the Men 13-15 Division Otto Mand of Croesyceiliog, Wales played impressively in his first career Premier start. The Welshman found himself one stroke behind first round leader Kyler Tate of
Winter Garden, FL after Tate's opening round of even par 71. Tate closed on Sunday with a 78, giving Mand a chance for the victory. Mand matched his opening round of one over par 72 with the
same on Sunday, giving himself a two over par total of 144 and the victory. "The highlight for me would have to be the condition of the course throughout the weekend and how well the tournament
was run," Mand commented after his victory. Tate's two day total of 149 earned him 1000 points. Third place in the Division was awarded to
Greyson Porter of Clearwater, FL. Porter (73-79),
earned 800 points for his third place finish.

Young Men 11-12
The Young Men 11-12 Division found Sully Zagerman of Windermere, FL emerging victorious for the second time in as many events played so far in the 2011 season. Zagerman jumped out to a
seven stoke lead after an opening round of four over par 75.
Connor Campbell of Belleair Bluffs, FL was in second place after an 82. Campbell was able to close the margin to just four after a
Sunday 77, but Zagerman's 80 sustained him to a four stroke lead and the victory. Zagerman has now won his last two starts in a row, and finds himself in third place on the current Young Men
11-12 Rankings. Campbell, who finished fourth in this event last year, was awarded 1000 points for his runner up finish. Third place in the Division was awarded to current Points leader
Spencer
Alexander
of Port Charlotte, FL. Alexander improved by seven strokes with a Sunday 81 after a Saturday round of 88.

Women 10-13
A much improved Haydyn Gibson cruised to victory in the Women 10-13 Division at Belleair this year. Gibson, from Clearwater, FL, posted two rounds in the 70's, a Saturday 79 followed by a
Sunday 74, to record a 153 total and a big victory. Gibson, who had last played Premier at last year's Belleair event, showed that she had improved much since 2010. In last year's rain-shortened
event, Gibson shot a 93 to finish T6. This year was a different story though, with Gibson posting two rounds in the 70's, including a three over par 74 in Sunday's windy conditions, to grab the title.
Ashley Zagers of Oldsmar, FL also showed much improvement from the last time we saw her in late 2009 and early 2010. Zagers recorded rounds of 90 and 86, giving her a 176 total and second

score than the previous event. Wilkes opened his tournament with a five over par round of 76, giving himself a very comfortable over the nearest competitor,
Carter Dalili of Vero Beach, FL, who
posted an 87 on Saturday. Wilkes kept his total under 150 for the first time in his 18 hole career on Premier after posting a very impressive round two of 73. Dalili also improved on Sunday, posting
an 80, seven strokes lower than his Saturday score. Dalili finished runner up to Wilkes. Third place in the Division was awarded to
Jayson Iten of Naples, FL. Iten recorded 98-94-192.

Amateur Women
Winning for the second time in 2011 in the Women's Amateur Division was Tyler Williams of Orlando, FL. Williams, like many others in different Divisions, recorded her lowest ever 18 hole total
on Premier over the weekend. Williams opened with a 92 on day one but was able to improve three strokes on Sunday to record an 89 and a 181 total. The win gives Williams 1200 points and
puts her 2011 point total at 2400.

Patrick Fischer of Leesburg, FL won for the first time in the 2011 season in the Amateur Men's Division. Fischer was able to play very solidly, only having a one stroke difference between his first
and second rounds. A Saturday 76 was followed by a 77 on Sunday. His 153 total earned him 1200 points and with the win Fischer is now Points Leader in his Division for the 2011 season.

Women 14-19
Earning her second win is as many events played in the 2011 season in the Women 14-19 Division was Danielle Grace of St Petersburg Beach, FL. Grace shot rounds of 80 and 82 at Belleair,
giving her a 162 total and 1200 points for first place. Grace now sits just 200 points behind the current Points Leader in the Women 14-19 Division.

day one 38 with a 40 on Sunday for an event total of 78. On the par five 6th hole on Saturday, Horner found himself with a fried egg in the green side bunker. Jake commented on how difficult the
shot was, but he hit a great bunker shot out to just a couple feet. We actually managed to get a picture of Horner as he hit his shot.
Click here to view it. Horner commented, "on Sunday I had three
birdies on the last four holes." The strong finish earned Horner 1200 points and he has won every Boys 7-8 event that he's played in 2011.
