2011 EAST LAKE WOODLANDS FALL KICKOFF TOURNAMENT STORY

  WASOFF, DAVIS, MAETZLER, YAN VICTORIOUS IN OLDER DIVISIONS!

Oldsmar, FL – PJT competitors from Switzerland, China and Florida were greeted by light breezes and partly cloudy skies at East
Lake Woodlands Country Club for Premier
Junior Tour's 2011 East Lake Woodlands Fall Kickoff at this exclusive club with junior-
friendly management.
 Jay Pittman, Director of Golf, treated competitors to lunch each of the two days, and 100% of all other
proceeds went to charity.  This club has a heart for charity and juniors, and the PJT was proud to host an event at this special venue.

In the Men 13-15 Division,
Donald Wasoff (2014) of Safety Harbor, FL held the lead by one stroke over Matthew Ruel (2016) of
Oldsmar, FL after round one.  Then in round two, both Donald and Matthew held a steady 74 each to finish the race at 147 and 148. This is Donald's first PJT Victory, which includes an Invitation to
the year-end Tour Championship at Reunion Resort, and fourth top five finish. Coming in third place after a round one 78, was a great comeback of 74 as well by
Patrick Mills (2015) of Tampa,
FL.  Donald's rounds included two birdies and one eagle on the par 5 9th on day one, and four birdies on day two. Matthew's rounds included two birdies in round one, and two birdies in round
two.  Patrick's rounds included a birdie in round one, and three birdies in round two.

Men 16-19 Division victor was
Alden Davis (2012) of Chiefland, FL, who held a two shot lead going into round two, and bettered his nearest competitor by a shot to claim the victory by three
strokes, 77-73-150, posting two birdies in each round.  This is Alden's third PJT Victory in 2011, and his sixth Top 5 Finish.  Coming in Runner-Up was
Lucas Trim (2012) of Tampa, FL with 79-74-
153, with three birdies, and Lucas' third Top 5 PJT Finish in 2011.  Third Place went to
Brandon Jeffries (2012) of Palm Harbor, FL, whose seven stroke come-back led to his second Top 5 Finish
in 2011.  

Monja Maetzler (2013) of Switzerland lead the Women 14-19 with her 76 by two strokes over Belinda George (2012) of Plant City, FL after round one with Madison Glennie (2014) of Clearwater, FL
seven strokes behind. In Round two the three ladies played well with Monja victorious with her 80 by five strokes over both Madison (bettering her round one by nine strokes) and Belinda.  This led
to a chip-and-putt off between Belinda and Madison to determine Runner-Up and Third places.  Madison prevailed in the play-off.  This is Monja's first victory of 2011, which earns her an Invitation
to the PJT Tour Championship. This is also Belinda's fourth Top 3 Finish of 2011, and Madison's first Top 2 Finish of 2011.

Women 10-13 Champion
Michelle Yan (2016) of Hong Kong, China claimed her first victory on the PJT, earning her an Invitation to the Tour Championship in December at Reunion Resort.  
Michelle held her first round lead into a victory by shooting 76-79-155.  Younger sister
Vanessa Yan (2017) of Hong Kong, China came back nine strokes from her first round 88 to 79 to claim
Runner-Up honors and trophy.  Claiming Third Place trophy, points and honors was
Ashley Zagers (2017) of Oldsmar, FL, in Ashley's seventh Top 5 Finish in 2011.

Chris Kern (2017) of Tampa, FL claimed his first PJT victory of 2011, earning him an Invitation to the PJT Tour Championship in December, posting 71-71-142, which is also Chris'  second Top 5
in 2011, whose victory included four birdies in round one, and five birdies in round two.  Coming in Runner-Up was
Jacob Penny (2017) of Valrico, FL, posting 75-74-149, Jacob's sixth Top 5
Finish in 2011. Third Place went to first-time competitor
Tyler Rover (2017) of Wesley Chapel, FL, who posted 92-85-177.

In the two nine-hole per day divisions,
Joel Johnson (2018) of Lakeland, FL, in his first PJT competition,  posted rounds of 89-93-182 to claim his first PJT Victory in the Boys 9-10 Division, earning
him an Invitation to the year-end Tour Championship at Reunion Resort.  In the Boys 7-8 Division,
Siddharth Chackravarthy (2022) of Tampa, FL posted rounds of 42-46-88, earning him his third
Top 3 Finish in 2011and his first PJT Victory of 2011, earning Siddharth an Invitation into the PJT Tour Championship in 2011.  Finishing Runner-Up was
Ajay Patel (2022) of Odessa FL, posting
48-49-97, Ajay's third Top 4 Finish of 2011.
