2011 MAJOR CHAMPIONSHIP AT SUGARLOAF MOUNTAIN TOURNAMENT STORY
Men 16-19 Division Winners
Men 13-15 Division Winners
Women 14-19 Division Winners
Women 10-13 Division Champion
Clermont, FL - Summer-like warm temperatures and a challenging layout were the stories of the weekend as Premier Junior Tour visited Sugarloaf Mountain Golf & Town Club in Clermont, FL for
its 8th event of the 2011 season and its first Major Championship of the year. A total of four different countries were represented at the event. The year's first Major was sponsored and supported by
Kikkor Golf. Kikkor provided $100 gift cards to the Champions of select Divisions. Many players were excited about the styles of the shoes and we expect to see them with some new Kikks at our
next event! Both Saturday and Sunday brought forth warm temperatures, reaching to the 90 degree mark, as well as light breezes. Sugarloaf Mountain's elevation changes added to the challenge
of the warm weather as players and caddies walked up and down the hills of Clermont, FL. Low scoring was not easy to come by at the year's first Major, and many players had to fight hard to
keep steady on the testing layout.

Men 16-19
In the Men's 16-19 Division, we saw close competition for the top three spots, with all three competitors seeking to get their first victory of the season. Luke Bardwell (below) of Winter Haven, FL
found himself tied atop the leader board with
Tae Jun Lee of South Korea after both players posted matching rounds of five over par 77 on day one.
Bardwell and Lee both held on to a two stroke advantage going into Sunday over nearest competitor
Rocco Russo of Heathrow, FL, who shot 79 on
Saturday. All three competitors were seeking their first victory of the 2011 season heading in to Sunday. Bardwell and Lee remained close all day long,
but it was Bardwell who emerged victorious. Bardwell's closing 79 gave him a one stroke victory over Lee, who posted an 80 on Sunday. Russo also
recorded an 80, giving him a 159 total and third place. Bardwell showed tough resolve in winning his first event of the year as well as the year's first Major.
Bardwell had found himself atop the leader board at Premier's last event at Belleair after an opening round of 69. However, Bardwell fell to a fifth place
finish after a second day 80 at Belleair. Staying atop the leader board after the second day was accomplished at Sugarloaf, however. With the win,
Bardwell earned 2400 points and has now vaulted in to third place on the Men 16-19 Points List. Lee is now fourth on the Points List after his runner up
finish at Sugarloaf, while Russo climbed to 7th spot via his third place outing. The win also earned Bardwell a $100 Kikkor Golf gift card! Premier would
like to congratulate Luke Bardwell on his victory.

Adruzova bettered her Saturday score by two strokes on Sunday by way of an 81. Adruzova claimed second place with her 164 total. Third place honors
went to
Jennifer So of Orlando, FL. So opened with a round of 90 but improved nicely on Sunday, totaling an 84 on the second day. The win by Rymer

even par 72. This was Knowles' first victory of the 2011 season and he earned 2400 points and a $100 Kikkor Golf gift card for his victory. Pitenis and

First place in the Amateur Men Division was decided by only three strokes, which provided for a close competition. Kevin Reints of the Netherlands took hold of the Round 1 lead after posting a

Boys 9-10
Consistency paid off in the Boys 9-10 Division over the weekend at Sugarloaf Mountain. Charlie Tang of Oviedo, FL recorded matching rounds of 80 on Saturday and Sunday over the tough layout.
Tang's 160 total contributed 2400 points to his 2011 total, which moved Tang into a tie for first on the Current Boys 9-10 Points List. "I thought I played exceptionally well today (Sunday), and I
figured out that you have to be accurate or you're in big trouble. The reason I kept my score low was because of my greenside play, and without the number of ups and downs I made, I would have
surrendered many strokes," Tang commented. Second place in the Division went to
Jack Knowles of Bradenton, FL. Knowles' rounds of 93 and 92 gave him a 185 total and 2000 points for
second place.
