47 Under Par Through Last 6 PJT Tournaments; Unequalled Anywhere!

Other Division Champions:  Vaidis, Kern, Fisher, Doglioli, Brimhall, Ogle, Felce, Gartrell!

October 17, 2011

Tampa, FL – PJT competitors from Italy, China and Florida met at the University of South Florida's "The Claw at USF" Course where
mostly cloudy skies prevailed for Premier Junior Tour's 2011 University of South Florida Fall Championship in Tampa, Florida.

In the Men 13-15 Division,
Sam Horsfield (2015) of Davenport, Florida continued his excellence in 2011 by winning his 6th PJT
Championship
in not only the Men 13-15 Division, but also winning the weekend's combined Men 13-19 Division.  Sam won the
Men 13-15 by a fifteen stroke margin, and the Men 16-19 by four strokes.
Unequalled in junior golf is Sam's sub-par tournament totals on the PJT... 47 under par over the last six tournaments Sam
has played in, all of which were victories.
Equally rare: in the 20 tournament rounds played by Sam from July 2nd through the USF tournament, Sam has 20 rounds under his belt, and Sam so far
has recorded an
85 under par total from July 2nd through today's date.  To add to this phenomenal record, note that from July 2nd through current, Sam has no rounds over par!

After Round 1 this weekend, Sam held a six stroke lead, and added nine more strokes to his lead after Round 2, claiming the Championship with 71-
69-140.  Coming in Runner-Up in the Men 13-
15 was
John Coultas (2014) of Valrico, FL, posting scores of 77-78-155.  In Third Place was Kelly Sun (2016) of Bradenton, FL recording 76-81-157.

In the Men 16-19 Division,
Oliver Vaidis (2012) of Bradenton, FL claimed his first 2011 PJT  Championship, with scores of 73-71-144.  Runner-Up was Li Zongfan (2016) of China posting 75-74-
149.  Third Place honors went to
Tyler Howes (2012) of Kissimmee, FL with 72-80-152.

Women 14-19 competitors fielded a tight race from beginning to end. Round One's medalist was
Marisol Doglioli (2012) of Italy with an 80, but all within five shots and close on Marisol's heels
were
Megan Berube (2013) of Spring Hill, FL with 82, Amanda He (2015) of Champions Gate, FL with 83, and Madison Glennie (2014) of Clearwater, FL with 84, and Emma Paschal (2015) with
85. Round Two's numbers were within two strokes between three competitors, and the finish was close to the end. Finishing in the Top 3 were Marisol Doglioli with her first 2011 PJT
Championship 80-80-160; Runner-Up went to Madison Glennie with 84-78-162; and Third Place went to Amanda He posting 83-80-163.

The Young Men 11-12 field was eight strong with
Chris Kern (2017) of Tampa, FL posting a first round one-under par 70.  Robby Eisch (2017) of Tampa, FL and Travis Wells (2017) of Land O
Lakes, FL were the three nearest competitors going into the final round. The Championship went to Chris Kern (70-81-151), Runner-Up went to Robby Eisch and Third Place went to Travis Wells.

The Boys 9-10 Champion in his first PJT event was Andrew Fisher (2019) of Palm Harbor, FL, who recorded rounds of 109-119-228.

The Women 10-13 Division had all four ladies in the 80's and 90's for Round One:
Samantha Brimhall (2017) of Rockledge, FL with 84; Madison Heideman (2018) of Largo, FL with 94, Alyssa
Lamoureux
(2018) of Seminole, FL with 97 and Gabrielle Tomeo (2018) of Bradenton, FL with 98.  Round Two determined the Top 3 Finishers as follows:  the Championship went to Samantha
Brimhall (84-87-171); Runner-Up went to Madison Heideman (94-91-185); and Third Place went to Gabrielle Tomeo (98-94-192).

The nine hole divisions produced three outstanding Champions.  First in the Boys 6&Under Division was
Alex Ogle (2023) of St. Petersburg, FL, posting amazing scores of 38-33-71 to claim his
11th 2011 PJT Championship! The two under par 33 was Alex's sixth sub-par round in 2011!  Champion in the Girls 8-9 Division was
Haley Gartrell (2021) of Lakeland, FL, taking the
Championship with 48-52-100 in Haley's first PJT Victory!  Claiming the victory in the Girls 7&Under was
